As the winner of the GFA’s International Concert Artist 2023, Ukaine’s Marko Topchii may well be the world’s winningest classical guitarist. His prodigious achievements are best exemplified by more than 100 awards worldwide in international classical guitar competitions, an astonishing 55 of them being first prizes in prestigious competitions. The remarkable Marko is truly one of the world’s very best classical guitarists.
The Northwest guitar festival will be held in Seattle, April 4-6, with the generous support of the Seattle Classic Guitar Society and the University of Washington.

Montreal-based Charles Hobson and Marie-Noelle Choquette are the innovative guitar and flute duo, Beija-Flor. Our friends at the Vancouver Recital Society present guitar virtuoso Miloš! The Montenegrin marvel’s meteoric rise to fame started in 2011 after the release of his hugely popular debut album ‘Mediterraneo’. The Rogue Folk Club presents Christine Tassan et les Imposteures, a celebrated gypsy jazz and swing band.
Founded in 2003 by classically trained guitarist Christine Tassan, inspired by Django Reinhardt, the band has performed over 600 shows across Quebec, Canada, Europe, the U.S., and China, becoming a standout in the gypsy jazz scene.

The Erato Ensemble presents Heritages, a concert by Luis Angel Medina. Luis is an accomplished performer and a driving force in Vancouver’s classical guitar community. He is founder and director of the Vancouver Classical Guitar Festival and a guitar instructor at Capilano University. Known for his deep musicality, technical mastery, and exquisite sound, Luis brings all of this to a concert featuring the works of Julio César Oliva, Dale Kavanagh, Manuel Ponce and Mauro Guiliani.
The Vancouver Recital Society presents Raphaël Feuillâtre. Raphaël was born in Djibouti, on the northeastern coast of Africa, raised in Western France and studied at the Conservatoire de Nantes and later at the Paris Conservatoire. He made his international breakthrough as the 2018 winner of the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America. Since then, Raphaël’s burgeoning career has taken him around the world, where he has dazzled audiences with his playing. In 2021, he performed for the Vancouver Classic Guitar Society.
Our friends at the Rogue Folk Club present two outstanding fingerstyle guitarists, Don Ross and Jule Malischike. Don has won the US National Fingerpick Guitar Championship twice and Jule is one of the most sought-after soloists on the European acoustic scene.
