Guitarlab Intensives, founded by Bokyung Byun and Dr. Jaxon Williams, offer two immersive online programs for classical guitarists of all levels - The Summer Virtuoso Intensives and The 4 x 4 Intensives.
Montreal-based Charles Hobson and Marie-Noelle Choquette are the innovative guitar and flute duo, Beija-Flor. Together, they present a dynamic and beautiful repertoire of classical works inspired by cultures from around the world. “…an incredibly dynamic and creative team“, “masterful arrangements.” (Flute Quarterly, USA).

As the winner of the GFA’s International Concert Artist 2023, Ukraine’s Marko Topchii may well be the world’s winningest classical guitarist. His prodigious achievements are best exemplified by more than 100 awards worldwide in international classical guitar competitions, an astonishing 55 of them being first prizes in prestigious competitions. The remarkable Marko is truly one of the world’s very best classical guitarists.
Note: The concert starts at 7 pm but come early at 6:15 pm to enjoy performances by UBC School of Music classical guitar students.

Join us for Vancouver’s Finest, our annual celebration of Vancouver’s own exceptional classical guitarists with a concert by two driving forces in our music community, Alec Pearson and Luis Medina. Alec and Luis have done so much to support and promote classical guitar learning and performance in our community. This concert recognizes their huge volunteer contributions and celebrates their outstanding talent.
