The Vancouver Classical Guitar Festival (VCGFest) is a week-long series of workshops where you will be able to explore intensively skills that are not delved into during lessons or the course of guitar studies, such as learning music effectively, practicing effectively, problem solving, technique, and playing in an ensemble. From the beginner who just learned how to read notes, to the aspiring professional who is diving deeper into the music, this week is designed to get everyone together to share a unifying experience of playing the guitar.
Directing the festival is Luis Angel Medina, an avid performer and teacher across North America. He is the recipient of the Silver Medal from the 2017 Vancouver International Music Competition and holds a Masters degree from the University of Georgia in Athens. Luis’s career has taken him to perform in various cities in Europe, China and all over North America.
