In lieu of our regular international concert season, VCGS is looking to hire a small number of local guitarists for in-home concerts which will be streamed live. We will host 3 or 4 paid performances. Each concert featuring two guitarists, each guitarist responsible for approximately ~45 -50 minutes of presentation (35-40 minutes of music). Musicians will be expected to wear a mask when not performing and follow all Covid protocols.
Applications should be sent in no later than December 14th, 2020. We expect to announce the dates and artists chosen by the new year.

Note that dates chosen are susceptible to being altered or cancelled due to restrictions around Covid.
Musicians should be a resident of Vancouver or the Lower Mainland.
At this time, we will give priority to performers age 19+ who are making a living with music in some capacity. That being said, anyone may apply.
Should be available to perform on a Saturday to be decided in coordination with VCGS volunteers and hosts.
Must be comfortable performing in a home that will hold the host, their immediate family, one other musician, and a volunteer. VCGS will choose a home where social distancing is possible.
Must submit their proposed program (35-40 minutes of music). The complete presentation should not be more than 50 minutes.
Must submit a video link to past performances of at least 15 minutes of professional-level quality. A private video audition of similar length may be submitted instead.
A bio of at least a 120-word count must be submitted. This may be used in advertising the event.
At least one professional photo (or link to downloadable images). Preferably a few images to choose from featuring at least one headshot. Again, these may be used in promoting the event.
VCGS Board members will choose artists based on the quality of the above material. Also to be considered is the activeness of the artists in their community and a general sense of “giving” or “contribution”. If you do not include this information in your bio, consider telling us about it in your bio. We will make an effort to showcase and support as much local talent as possible, but practical restrictions exist.
