Trevor Cooper
In 2015, Trevor Cooper was one of 14 internationally selected guitarists to study in the III Master en Interpretacion de la Guitarra Clasica at the University of Alicante in Alicante, Spain. There he studied with Grammy-winning artists David Russell, Manuel Barrueco (guitar), Paul O'Dette (lute/early music), Jose de Eusebio (conducting) and others. He is currently finishing a Masters at the Universitaet Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria with Eliot Fisk.
At 17 Trevor entered the Performance program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music to study with Dr. Jeffrey McFadden and Performance Practice with Dr. Kevin Komisaruk (Palliative Care/Keyboard). He received 1st Place in Guitar at the 2013 FCMF National Music Festival. After receiving his Bachelor of Music in Perfomance he travelled to Seville, Spain to study with Spanish guitarist Francisco Bernier. Born and raised in Edmonton, he started playing guitar at a young age studying locally with Michel Forestier.
Henry Reitan
After studying the guitar in Spain, with some of the best teachers and guitarists in the world, Henry grew an enormous love for everything Spanish. The language, culture and music. During his 2018 tour in Canada, Henry will be presenting the result of his ongoing deep dive into the crossing of "flamenco" and "classical Spanish" guitar. Henry is one of Norways most interesting young musician and is praised for his innovative approach to solving the technical and musical mysteries of the guitar. Reitan puts the aesthetical object of music in front of norms and traditions and lives by the maxim "vuja de" which means to look at something old in a new way. In 2005 the great composer and guitarist Gilber Biberian said: “Henry Reitan understands the guitar as Ronaldinhio understands football”
