Whether you are a curious beginner, preparing for auditions or exams, or simply looking for a fun and creative way to liven up your summer, there truly is something for everyone.

The summer academy also offers a range of student and faculty performances.

 Host a billet! Host families receive $25 per day in VCM tuition credits.

PROGRAM (guitar)
The Summer Academy Guitar Program (SA-G) invites guitar lovers of all ages and abilities* to explore the art of the classical guitar with VCM faculty and international guests. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced players will find engaging activities including private and group instruction, guitar orchestra, ensemble opportunities, technique sessions. Concerts include SA-G faculty and international guest artists.  SA-G 2018 is a relaxed, focused and encouraging learning environment where you may expand and refine your guitar skills with some of Canada’s top guitar performers and international guests.

Financial Assistance

Some bursary assistance will be available. Applicants must comply with all deadlines and requirements. Late applicants will not be considered for financial assistance.

Note: Online registration requires payment in full. Those who wish to attend the Academy but are awaiting the results of their bursary application should register by phone, in person, or via the downloadable pdf registration form (available by following the Academy Registration link on each of the specific program pages).
